I have taken them seriously since the first time they said "Death to the United States of America".

We all should, Ellen; but I'm afraid most are paying no attention. I suppose when an Islamist breaks someone's door down and beheads a family or our soldiers, things may change. And maybe not.

15 Shout AMEN!Amen ~ 18 PrayingPraying

When I read this article, the first thing that went through my mind was 2 Thessalonians 2:11: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”. Then I went back to check exactly WHEN God would send this strong delusion. If my understanding is correct, the “strong delusion” will come AFTER the Holy Spirit - and by extension, us - is/are taken out of the way. And I keep thinking dear Lord, if the strong delusion doesn’t come until after we’re gone, how much worse can that delusion possibly get?

I confess to being a former political junkie, but I’m to the point where I’m afraid to check news feeds in the morning. I keep asking how much more the people can be deluded.

And totally OT, how is your recuperation coming?

Thanks Michael. I believe, when God says he will send "strong delusion," He is not necessarily saying it will be a one-time event, or that it will be quick. God doesn't seem to do too many things "quick" at least by humnan standards. This strong delusion has been coming on us and the rest of the world for decades, starting with the 60s in the US and probably the twenties in Europe. It seems that when a people tells God they don't need Him anymore, He leaves them to their own wishes and lets them pay the price. We are paying the price, and those in Islamic territories are paying a much worse price.  Islam is a delusion, and we have the likes of Rick Warren declaring that Allah and Yahweh are one and the same. If so, God has a split personality.

Thanks so much for your prayers and wishes. I am recovering great. The first 5-6 weeks was tough and then suddenly, it just improved. Doc says the sternum will hurt for about a year. It hurts but is more like a severe sunburn. I am still taking it easy until Sept 15 like was suggested and will then ease back into a real routine. J
