Here Comes the Sun
Perspective on the News

Well, I feel a lot safer now that the world’s leaders are saving me from our clear and present danger: Climate Change, the existential threat.
Not beheadings by yet another Islamic group that wants to behead the world, has stated the claim and is doing so as I write. They are beheading Muslims too if they do not toe the line, whatever the line is. Not to worry
Not internet dating duos (also of that faith) who might plunge into your office Christmas Party with a couple of AK-47s, in a No Guns zone no less; and shoot up the joint and everyone inside. Talk about a war on Christmas. Not to worry.
Not Iranian nuclear weapons or the nukes soon to be seized from Pakistan by ISIS. When that happens, we will just talk to them and tell them we are sorry for getting upset with them for flying into our buildings. I imagine the new, indestructible World Trade Center tower will not be a target if we give them nicey-nicey and an Almond Joy. Not to worry.
Not the threat of children being kidnapped and sold as sex slaves in order to fund the peaceful ideology of those who wish us to be headless. Not to worry.
Nope. I’m not worried, because the world leaders are protecting me from climate change that used to be global warming until the trend now seems to be toward global cooling. Wonder how many government grants will go to colleges to fund the global cooling catastrophe? Another Ice Age used to be the fear.
What makes a star shine brighter?
In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted. ~Isaiah 30:25-26 NIV
According to www.scienceray.com, our sun gets hotter by about 10% every billion years, and our sun has a supposed lifespan of ten billion years. When it comes to stars, everything seems to happen in billions of years; but at the least according to the sun, global warming has been happening a long, long time. The sun is getting hotter, and mankind had nothing to do with that unfortunate circumstance.
When Isaiah told the Jewish people the sun was going to get seven times hotter “in the day of great slaughter” he was referring to what the Bible calls the last days. Talk about some global warming. This scripture would indicate we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
The final book of the Bible is the Book of Revelation which had this to say nearly 2,000 years ago.
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. ~ Revelation 16:8-9 NIV
Seared by the intense heat… I suppose if the sun became seven times hotter, that should pretty much do it.
What if it really did not take billions or hundreds of millions of years for a star like our sun to get much brighter and hotter. According to scienceray.com, since the sun is five billion years old (would not bet the farm on that figure), it is 50% hotter than it used to be.
The North Star has guided voyagers for many years, and in those bivouacs at Camp Pendleton, California during naval compass training, the North Star seemed the brightest star in the sky. That was 1968.
In the 1990s the North star began to dim rapidly.
After dimming for the last few decades, the North Star is beginning to shine brightly again. And over the last two centuries, the brightening has become rather dramatic. ~ Space.com, January 28, 2014
By the year 2000, the North star was brightening again. According to astronomers, the North star has brightened dramatically in the last 200 years. Not 2,000,000,000 years; not 200,000,000 years; not 2,000,000 years. Two hundred years.
From the record above, the North Star, or Polaris, significantly dimmed and then brightened in less than 25 years, 1990-2015, at the max.
I don’t know when the last days will be, but my belief is relatively soon. Too many biblical signs appearing, too many unprecedented weather events, too many beheadings, too many countries abandoning the God of Abraham, ISAAC and Jacob. That is not Abraham, Ishmael and Jacob.
“They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.”
The climate will definitely change; but as bad as it gets, as unprecedented, the people will curse God instead of make changes in their lifestyle. They will rebel against God, pull Christmas displays from buildings and have Spaghetti Monster mockery. No matter how bad it gets.
The day the sun gets riled up and throws an electromagnetic pulse our way, what will the kids do without iphones and x-boxes? What will we do without iphones, computers, automobiles and water pumping stations? The sun can make the lights go out permanently.
Those who happen to be around when the sun drives everyone underground for survival will know that the heat is not man-made. The heat is God-made.
So I am glad and feel secure that the world’s leaders have figured out a way to cool the sun back down. It will take a huge bucket of water, but they seem to have our backs. It will cost trillions, but our government has a printer. They seem to have thought of everything.
Here comes the sun. I wonder how the Beatles knew?
