Paula Deen and Gay Marriage
Perspective on the News
Thursday, June 27, 2013
J.L. Robb

Yesterday was a big day for the homosexual community in the United States, thanks to President Obama’s and Hollywood’s continued endorsement of and lobbying for what God described as an abomination. Actually it’s been a great five-year period for that community.

In just five years we have gayified the U.S. military, the Boy Scouts of America (Girls Scouts already were) and the tradition of marriage between opposite sexes, like the Bible specified.

I usually read two or three newspapers a day and many Internet news sites. This morning I turned on ABC News at 3:00 AM, and the first half-hour was almost exclusively about the wondrous Supreme Court ruling delegitimizing DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) which was overwhelmingly approved during the Clinton Administration. Other “news” jubilations pertained to California’s Governor Brown, who has stated that gay marriage would be legal within 30 days. As I watched the TV news, I really thought some of the commentators were going to wet their pants in excitement. They were giddy.

Of course the next BIG STORY was Paula Deen’s vocalization of the N-word last century. This trashing came from the left, the same left who voted over and over again for Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, a former Ku Klux Klansman. As a matter of fact there have been many other Democrats who were members of the KKK, far more than Republicans. It was the Democrats who fought against the Civil Rights Act. Paula has now lost support from Walmart, Food Network and Caesar’s Palace. Guess who is going to investigate her? The Reverend Jesse Jackson. That would be Jesse Jackson who said this:

“Rev. Jesse Jackson referred to Jews as ‘Hymies’ and to New York City as ‘Hymietown’ in January 1984 during a conversation with a black Washington Post reporter, Milton Coleman.”

Hymies? Really, Jesse? Well, at least you didn’t use the N-word. Jesse, if you read this I have a question. Have you ever referred to white folk as honky or cracker? Hmmmm?

But Paula and Gay Marriage is news in the USA.

An estimated 100,000 have now been killed in Syria’s civil war, and the Arab Spring has led to unprecedented unrest throughout the Islamic Mideast. The potential for World War III lies just around the bend. Unimportant.

In Saudi Arabia a new and extremely deadly disease, MERS has raised its ugly head and SARS continues to wreak havoc. Unimportant.

In the western United States the drought continues, temperatures are seeking new highs and Alaska was in the upper 80s last week. Unimportant.

Nope, today the most important news in the entire world is two men or two women marrying, the first time in history that marriage has been redefined. Even in decadent, ancient Rome where homosexuality or sex with siblings was the norm during their orgies, marriage was still marriage between man and woman. Seems natural, man and woman, doesn’t it?

Wonder what Jesus would do?

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?” - Jesus

Apparently the “left” thinks Jesus was mistaken, even the left who claims to believe that Jesus was the Messiah. I must ask the “gay community,” was Jesus homophobic?

“It was a nice stroke of luck for MSNBC today during its coverage of the Supreme Court’s decisions rejecting the federal Defense of Marriage Act and essentially overturning California’s Proposition 8 that prevented same-sex couples from marrying in the state. President Obama interrupted the live interview with a phone call from Air Force One to offer congratulations.”

If you remember, Proposition 8 was voted on by the folk of California and the majority voted “yes.” The proposition banned gay marriage and won by a majority (52% to 47%). However, from the Gov. Brown link above we can see that what the people want as a majority, since we are a democratic republic, matters not.

Gay Day at the Supreme Court

WASHINGTON: In a pair of major victories for the gay rights movement, the Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that married same-sex couples were entitled to federal benefits and, by declining to decide a case from California, effectively allowed same-sex marriages there.

Today’s military is certainly not your Daddy’s military, with the Pentagon pushing against Judeo-Christianity and promoting gay lifestyles that make the military stronger.

So what would the founding Father’s say about gay marriage and gay military? It depends whether you read historical sites or gay sites.

According to Gay People’s Chronical.com:

“Renowned gay historian Randy Shilts makes the case for Washington’s ever-pragmatic as well as compassionate approach to same-sex relationships in Conduct Unbecoming: Gays and Lesbians in the U.S. Military.”

Here are the facts:

George Washington was THE Founding Father, and this is what he said about homosexuality which wasn’t a word at the time. The word then was sodomy (after Sodom and Gomorrah) which Washington described as an “Abhorrence and Detestation.”

Thomas Jefferson called for “dismemberment” of the sexual organ in his state of Virginia and authored the bill requiring such.

In the original Thirteen Colonies, homosexuality was a criminal offense and the penalty was death in New York, Vermont, Connecticut and South Carolina.

Noah Webster wrote in the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary that homosexual sin was against nature as God says in Romans 1.

Alexander Hamilton, though painted “gay” by the gay community because he endeared a male friend and loved him (not sexually), was not by all indications.

During the times after the Founding Fathers, laws against homosexuality were pervasive:

New York: “That if any man shall lie with mankind as he lieth with womankind, both of them have committed abomination; they both shall be put to death.”

Connecticut: “Sodomy shall be punished by imprisonment at hard labour in the penitentiary during the natural life or lives of the person or persons convicted of this detestable crime.”

Georgia: “That if any man shall commit the crime against nature with a man or male child,  every such offender, being duly convicted thereof in the Supreme Judicial Court, shall be punished by solitary imprisonment for such term not exceeding one year and by confinement afterwards to hard labor for such term not exceeding ten years.”

Maine: “That if any person or persons shall commit sodomy, he or they so offending or committing any of the said crimes within this province, their counsellors, aiders, comforters, and abettors, being convicted thereof as above said, shall suffer as felons. And shall forfeit to the Commonwealth all and singular the lands and tenements, goods and chattels, whereof he or she was seized or possessed at the time, at the discretion of the court passing the sentence, not exceeding ten years, in the public gaol or house of correction of the county or city in which the offence shall have been committed and be kept at such labor.”

Pennsylvania: “The detestable and abominable vice of buggery [sodomy], be from henceforth adjudged felony, and that the offenders being hereof convicted by verdict, confession, or outlawry [unlawful flight to avoid prosecution], shall suffer such pains of death and losses and penalties of their goods.”

South Carolina: “That if any man lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman, they both shall suffer death."

Now that we know some of the Founder’s views, what are God’s views?

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD." (Isaiah 55:8)
