What The Omega Letter Means To Me
''My wife and I would be sleeping in our car if it were not for the Omega Letter. . .''

WOW! Where do I start? I don’t remember what year I joined; I think I followed a link from a story posted on Rapture Ready. If a website can feel like home, this is what the Omega Letter feels like to me.
I remember coming home riding the Greyhound bus from Fort Bragg, and when I would come in the backdoor of my childhood home into my Mom’s kitchen that faint smell of what had been prepared for dinner the night before. I always got home about 2-3 am in the morning and the door was always left unlocked so I could come on in.
From the first briefing I read written by Jack, I was captivated by his ability and the depth of his knowledge of all things in The Greatest Book ever written. The very Words of God.
I have said many times that as old James Vernon McGhee used to say, “you put the cookies on the bottom shelf so the kiddies can get to them”. Jack you tackle some of the more complex subjects of Scripture and make them plain and easily understandable.
I got saved at 8 years old.
In the early 70’s I was hurt severely in the Army and my mother gave me a book to read while in the hospital the title was (666). Later I read “The Late Great Planet Earth” and began a lifelong study of Biblical Eschatology.
This past year I have been out of work and in 2008 I lost my business when the economy collapsed. At the same time the military injuries from 38 years ago were wreaking havoc on my health.
I was lost and broke. I did not know what to do. We had never been in a place such as this. My Veterans Administration Doctor insisted I see a Psychiatrist for depression, common for chronic spinal cord injuries.
I had stopped going to Church because I could not afford to buy fuel for my truck to get there. I have for 20 years studied my Bible from 4am to 6am every day. I was praying and praying and I heard nothing. The nurse from the VA called and told me I needed someone to talk to because I was severely depressed and they thought I might harm myself.
I did not know how to tell you what The OL means to me without telling you all of this. Who could I talk to? I was in a dark place. Something kept telling me to kill myself. I posted a question in the forums about what happens if a believer does commit suicide.
Later that day I went back to the site to check and see if anyone had responded. My access was suspended. I had gotten the email telling me to renew but I only had about 40.00 in my bank account. I went to Paypal and renewed and the response was from God. He was speaking to me through the OL family.
I poured out my broken heart to these real Christians that populate this site. They were loving and kind and firm. Just about everything you would expect from your own family.
A couple of months later I had a break-in at my home and my computer was stolen. An OL 'family' member sent me a computer.
Other OL members also sent checks, enough to buy food and fuel to go on job interviews and enough to keep my electricity from being turned off as well as the internet.
They sent enough checks that my wife, (my high school sweetheart) knelt down at 5am one morning after the break in and invited Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior. Because she was watching God work through the people of OL.
This has been the most hellish, most glorious year of my life. Watching the Lord do one miracle after another in our lives.
I have met the most wonderful servants of Christ Jesus who take their being a Christian very seriously. We have never known such love.
Life is still hard and it will take a long to time to to get caught up but my wife and I would be sleeping in our car if it were not for the Omega Letter and the real Christians who come and demonstrate the Love Christ Jesus has for all of us His followers.
So to sum it up. What The Omega Letter means to me; it saved my life, saved our home, my wife was saved and she gets to go to heaven with me.
You tell me how do I thank all of you and thank Jack and most of all thank Jesus for the magnificent mercy and grace He has shown to this old sinner?
